"Photographs" is OFFICIALLY DONE!! We screened for the first time on Wednesday, and we were really happy with the feedback we received. Thanks to everyone who came out to see it, you guys rock. Next up, we're planning to hit the festival circuit, so the film will not be online for a while. However, if you are interested in receiving a copy, just let us know!
We apologize for the lack of updates, but now that the film is finally finished, we really wanted to post some tutorials on how Brendan did the BGs, and some of our preliminary pencil tests. Keep checking back to see them!
Well that was pretty wordy, to make up for it here are some images for B.Ki! Animation's new project, already in the works!

An animation drawing we thought was funny. Brendan added the blast off powers to her boots. More actual update stuff to follow soon.
Oh yeah, this scene is the LAST CHARACTER SCENE from our film, and the second to last scene we have left to do clean-up animation on. We are right on schedule to finish production this weekend! Needless to say, we are both really happy to finally move on to post and compositing.

Brendan and my home away from home, the animation lab. Brendan and I made those heads sitting my desk, and Zack is responsible for all the post its. One of these days I will have to post close ups of all the post it drawings, they are all really good and often involve violence and/or vomiting. :)

It's finished!! Except for maybe some minor tweaking this shot is just about done. It is nice to finally see shots from the movie finally coming together, even if they are super short like this one. Hope you like it!

Hello to everyone who still checks this (very poorly maintained) blog!
Here is an update on what is happening with our film and the B.Ki! Animation team:
We weren't able to finish our film this past semester due to some really exciting opportunities that we decided were too good to pass up. In March-April, we got the chance to work on the pilot episode of Young Justice as storyboard revisionists at WB (Thanks to our storyboarding professor Jay Oliva)! Brendan graduated in May and moved to Burbank to continue working at WB full time. I will be at Sony Pictures Imageworks starting this month as part of their IPAX program, training to be a 3d animator. And, both of us will continue to work on the film until it is done! We are anticipating finishing by August, and screening in December. Since this is our first film together, it means a lot to both of us to see it through! For now, we posted our trailer online and you can see it here:
(The music is "We have a map of the piano" by Mum)
The animation was done by me, and the backgrounds were drawn and painted digitally by Brendan.
Hope you like it!
Thanks for reading :)
